NFL games today: TV schedule map by window
The channel depends on the day and the time of the game. For the official listings, the NFL schedule page pairs well with the NFL games today TV schedule map on this page. This table covers every regular window in the 2026 season.
| Game window | Kickoff (ET) | Channel |
|---|---|---|
| Thursday night | 8:15 PM | Prime Video |
| Sunday early | 1:00 PM | CBS or FOX |
| Sunday late | 4:05 PM or 4:25 PM | CBS or FOX |
| Sunday night | 8:20 PM | NBC and Peacock |
| Monday night | 8:15 PM | ESPN, some weeks also ABC |
| International games | 9:30 AM (most games) | NFL Network, FOX, or Netflix |
Thursday, Sunday night, and Monday night games are national. Everyone in the country sees the same game. Sunday afternoon is different, and that is where the map comes in.
How the NFL TV schedule map works
On Sunday afternoons, several games are played at the same time. CBS and FOX cannot show all of them to everyone, so each local station shows one game per window. The game you get depends on where you live.
A coverage map shows the result. It is a map of the United States, with each region colored by the game its local CBS or FOX station will air.
- Your home team comes first. If a local team is playing, your station almost always shows that game.
- One network has a doubleheader. Each week, either CBS or FOX shows a game in both the early and late windows. The other network shows one game.
- Maps come out mid-week. The networks set their regional assignments a few days before the games, and the maps can still change before Sunday.
How to read a coverage map
Each map has a color key. Every color stands for one game and its announcers. Find your city or region on the map, match its color to the key, and you have your game.
There is a separate map for each network and each window: CBS early, CBS late, FOX early, and FOX late. In a single-game week for a network, there is only one map for it.
What channel is the football game on today?
Use this quick rule. AFC road teams usually put a Sunday afternoon game on CBS, and NFC road teams usually put it on FOX. The NFL can move games between the two networks, so the rule has exceptions.
For night games there is no doubt. Check out our guides to Thursday Night Football, Sunday Night Football, and Monday Night Football.
