How the PSL points table works
Every team plays each other twice in the league stage, so with eight franchises each side plays 14 matches. A win earns two points, a no-result earns one, and net run rate (NRR) separates teams level on points. NRR is a team’s scoring rate minus the rate it concedes across the whole season, which is why margin of victory matters as much as the result once the table tightens.
The playoff cut-off
The top four qualify. First plays second in Qualifier 1 with a direct route to the Final for the winner; third plays fourth in the Eliminator, and the Eliminator winner meets the Qualifier 1 loser in Qualifier 2. Finishing in the top two is worth chasing hard — it is the only way to get a second chance if you lose a knockout game.

How many points for a win in the PSL?
Two points for a win, one point each for a no-result, and zero for a defeat. Net run rate decides ties on points.
How many teams qualify for the PSL playoffs?
Four. First and second play Qualifier 1, third and fourth play the Eliminator, then Qualifier 2 decides the second finalist.
How many teams are in the PSL?
The league expanded to eight franchises in 2026, up from six. All eight appear in the table above during the season.
How often is the PSL points table updated?
