How to follow football live scores on PinLivescore

The board above pulls real-time scores from official competition feeds and refreshes every 60 seconds, so there is no need to reload the page. Matches in progress are marked LIVE with the current minute and always sit at the top. Upcoming fixtures show their kick-off time converted to your local time zone, and finished matches show the full-time score with the winning side highlighted in green.

Use the competition chips to filter by a single league — for example only Premier League or only Champions League matches. On busy weekends there can be 60+ matches across Europe, so the filter is the quickest way to find your team.

Competitions covered

  • England — Premier League and Championship
  • Europe's top leagues — La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, Eredivisie, Primeira Liga and Süper Lig
  • UEFA — Champions League and Europa League
  • Americas — MLS, Liga MX, Brasileirão and Argentine Primera
  • International — FIFA World Cup and qualifiers, plus club friendlies

Reading the scoreboard

During a match the status shows the minute played, e.g. 67', with HT at half-time and FT at full-time. ET and Pens indicate extra time and a penalty shoot-out in knockout ties.

Football live score FAQs

How often are football scores updated?

Every 60 seconds automatically. The "Updated" time above the match grid shows the last refresh, and goals usually appear within a minute of being scored.

Are kick-off times shown in my local time zone?

Yes. Times are converted automatically to your device's time zone, so a 3:00 PM kick-off in London shows as 7:00 PM in Pakistan.

Why can't I find a specific match?

The board covers the major European, American and UEFA competitions listed above. Lower divisions and some cup competitions may not be included in the feed.

Do you show league tables and match stats?

The live board focuses on scores, fixtures and results. Previews, rivalries and analysis are covered in our sports news section.

Do you cover other sports too?

Yes — PinLivescore has live scores for cricket, basketball, baseball, hockey and volleyball.

A fan's guide to how football competitions work

A scoreline on its own only tells you who is winning tonight. To understand why a 1–1 draw can feel like a win for one side and a disaster for the other, it helps to know how the competition around the match is built. Here is a plain-language guide to the formats you will see most often on this page.

League football: points, table and tiebreakers

Domestic leagues such as the Premier League, La Liga and Serie A run on a simple round-robin: every club plays every other club twice, once at home and once away. A win earns three points, a draw one and a defeat none. In a 20-team league that means 38 matches per club across roughly nine months.

When clubs finish level on points, most leagues separate them by goal difference first, then goals scored. That is why a late consolation goal in a defeat can still matter in May. The top of the table decides the title and the places in European competition, while the bottom few clubs are relegated to the division below and replaced by promoted sides — so a match between two struggling teams can carry as much tension as a title decider.

Cup football: extra time and penalties

Knockout competitions work differently because someone has to go through. If a single-leg tie is level after 90 minutes, it usually goes to 30 minutes of extra time and then a penalty shoot-out. In two-legged ties the aggregate score over both matches decides the winner. UEFA scrapped the old away-goals rule from the 2021–22 season, so a level aggregate now goes to extra time and penalties rather than being settled by who scored more on the road.

The Champions League's league phase

Since 2024–25, Europe's top club competition no longer uses groups of four. Instead all 36 clubs sit in a single league phase table and play eight matches each against different opponents. The top eight go straight into the round of 16, the clubs ranked 9th to 24th meet in a two-legged knockout play-off, and the bottom twelve are eliminated. Every goal counts towards one long table, which is why the final matchday is so chaotic to follow live.

Reading the clock: stoppage time and the match minute

The minute shown on a live card is the referee's match clock. Each half lasts 45 minutes, but the officials add stoppage time for injuries, substitutions, VAR checks and time-wasting, displayed as "45+3'" or "90+6'". Recent seasons have seen far more generous added time than in the past, so a match is never truly over until the card switches to FT. Extra time, when played, appears as minutes 91 to 120.

Why form matters more than the table early on

In the first weeks of a season the table can mislead: a club that has played two easy home games may sit above a stronger side that opened with tough away trips. Looking at recent results and the opponents faced gives a truer picture, and that is exactly what the live and recent matches board above is designed to show at a glance.
